St Cyngar’s Church moves forward

St Cyngar’s Church has a unique location overlooking the Glaslyn Estuary and Cardigan Bay, in a village which has badly needed a community centre. Plans to make St Cyngar’s Church Hall a modern and comfortable resource not only for the Church but for the whole village community have been moving apace! Fundraising efforts continue with a great deal of enthusiasm and good will, and consultations with a view to obtaining grants have been very encouraging.

Progress toward Hall Refurbishment

The congregation of St Cyngar's have been in need of a hall which is fit for purpose for some time and so the fund-raising efforts have been very well received. Including donations and money raised at events to date, the Congregation’s current fund raising stood at £16,522.45 in September.  The project continues to attract interest from the village community, including the Friends of Borth y Gest, who have been involved with many of the events.
If we as a congregation, with help from the local community can show how important the renovation of the hall is and how actively we are raising the funds for the work, then perhaps we can attract the support of charitable foundations which may help with our costs through grants and donations.
Alongside fundraising events  we have a
Sponsor a Square Metre of Floor scheme.

One of the innovative ideas for fundraising - if all the floor squares are sponsored, this would raise £3,500. So far £350 had been raised in a month. (10%). Contact us if you would like to sponsor a square for £50 each.
