St Cyngar’s Church has a unique location overlooking the Glaslyn Estuary and Cardigan Bay, in a village which has badly needed a community centre. Plans first discussed five years ago to make St Cyngar’s Church Hall a modern and comfortable resource not only for the Church but for the whole village community have been moving apace! Fundraising efforts and applications for grants (thank you Fr Dylan and Christine Dinneen!) raised the funds for a successful transformation of the unwelcoming hall to a useful and stylish space for church and community events.
Re-dedication of the Hall
On Sunday 30th June 2019, the Bishop of Bangor, The Right Revd Andrew John celebrated the Holy Eucharist and preached in a united service for members of congregations from across the Ministry Area. This was followed by a lunch in the newly refurbished hall, and after the meal The Bishop said a prayer of blessing for the reborn facility, which promises to be a real boon both for the church but also for the local community. Words of thanks and tokens of appreciation were given to our Architect, and to Mrs Christine Dinneen who has played such a big part in this project.
